Better Sex from Gay Boot Camp

boot camp - gay menIt’s summer. And by some slim chance (pun intended) you need an even greater push to start back on your exercise routine – here it is.  SEX.  Piles of research over the years has shown that regular exercise can vastly improve one’s sex drive/performance/experience.

To quote Elle Woods’  wisdom on the topic “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. elleHappy people just don’t kill people.”  Well, they just don’t stay home alone on a Friday night either – they are out flaunting their hard bodies and celebrating them with other Adonis-like creatures.

Working out improves lung function, cardiovascular fitness and blood flow. Since the male member’s arousal is dependent on blood flow… I will let you rise to a conclusion.

MORE sex (higher frequency than those who don’t exercise)
BETTER sexual experience (higher satisfaction ratings)
Greater FREEDOM to explore different positions that require strength, endurance and control

I have come up with the top 5 exercisse that can specifically improve your performance in bed, among other things.   For long lasting sexual performance you will need intense strength and endurance in a few key body parts:  Chest, Legs, Abs.

Erectile dysfunction (impotence) is a a problem of the circulatory system. ED therefore could be an early warning sign of future long term problems of the circulatory system such as heart disease and arteriole sclerosis.

Studies have shown that men who exercise only 3-5 times/week greatly decrease their potential for erectile dysfunction. Instead of looking to pop a pill – why not address the real problem.

So get out there fellas. Do boot camp, run, take a swim – just get that body moving. You, your partner and endless onlookers will thank you!

So, now it’s over. Last week was the final of the four weeks of the Gay Boot Camp Series.

Laura and Josh, the two trainers, were as friendly and un-drill instructor like as ever, but they did push us. Armed (footed) with the new pair of workout shoes that Laura promised me would enable me to run without injury, I managed to make most of the seemingly endless treks around the Greenwich Village pier.

In retrospect, what was the hardest single thing we did? That’s easy: Making myself a human wheelbarrow and moving across the lawn on my hands while a partner held my feet. Trust me, it’s even worse than it sounds. The military push-ups, where you lift a weight in each arm between push-up, is also pretty bad–even worse when you high-five a partner facing you… Read the rest of Steve Weinstein’s article here

Gay Boot Camp: Week Two Over!

In an earlier post, I had written about signing up for a four-week program called Gay Boot Camp. Think “An Officer and a Gentleman,” only the drill instructor can’t insult you by calling you a nasty epithet for “gay,” because everyone is.

Week 2 at Gay Mens Boot Camp

 

The program starts at 6 a.m., which is an ungodly hour for someone who usually falls asleep between 2 and 3 a.m., and, as noted earlier, that is still the biggest obstacle. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays–the three days of the camp–I find myself dragging by about, oh, 8 a.m. And every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday night, I vow to be in bed by 10 p.m…. READ THE REST OF STEVE’S POST HERE…..

Tight Asses Are BAD

Well, they are bad when it comes to flexibility, that is.

Living in NYC gives “busy” a whole new meaning. After an hour long workout who the hell feels like spending MORE time on the damn stretch, right?

I feel you. But guys let me remind you that…. “long and lean” no longer refers to those who have been up for days.

Adding a few simple stretches to your daily grind can, over time, really change the shape, look and FEEL of your musculature.

CHECK OUT THIS FREE flexibility routine that I give to all of my clients.

Print it out and take it to the gym with you, or you can save it to your blackberry/iPhone and view wherever you are. While waiting for the  subway stop and stretch those hammies. Whatever! Just make it a part of your daily routine.
